Town Planning

BSODC utilises appropriately qualified and experienced planning personnel under the management of Mr Peter Harding. The philosophy at BSODC is to strive for the ideal planning outcome and to subsequently have it approved for construction. We want to create places that are of long term benefit to the community and desirable places to live. Town Planning is a re-iterative exercise and involves technical understanding of constraints, flair, and experience in regards what will work and what won't.

Many BSODC projects involve navigation through the entire planning process; conceptualizing, rezoning, subdivision guide plans, applications to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and may sometimes extend to referral to State Appeals Tribunal(SAT). We offer a comprehensive in-house town planning service including all design and consultation with Clients and key stake holders. We are very experienced at dealing with local planning issues and the environmental aspects unique to this region. We are experts in the contents and interpretation of Town Planning Schemes of the Shire of Busselton, Augusta-Margaret River and adjacent Shires. Capable of making formal representations to Shire committees, attendance at SAT hearings we have enviable knowledge of all the appropriate players including abilities to consult and negotiate with local, state and federal agencies as and when necessary.

We take great pride in presenting high quality documents for approval. BSODC utilises modern design methods using CAD and Aerial Photography - something BSO pioneered. Successful plans are backed up by accurate documentation and concise planning reports - something at which BSODC has always excelled.

Our personnel are committed to staying up to date with planning legislation and WAPC policies. We actively contribute in planning industry forums and our history beyond twenty five years in the region gives us an advantage over Perth based competitors.
